Name: Julia Lee
Where did you grow up? : I was born in South Korea and moved to Houston at age 14. I moved to Cincinnati in 1996 a month after I got married, to follow my husband Greg when he started his Urogynecology fellowship at Good Samaritan Hospital.
When did you become a member of the Cornerstone community? : About 15 years ago in the pre Cornerstone era when the gym was called BEAT (Baker Enhanced Athletic Training)
What do you do when you are not at Cornerstone? (occupation, hobbies, etc.): I am an Obstetrician/Gynecologist in a group of 10 docs, operating and delivering at Mercy Fairfield and West Chester hospital. My job keeps me very busy so with what little down time I have, I like to unwind by watching Korean dramas on Netflix, LOL.
What is your favorite workout movement? Power Cleans!!!
What is your least favorite movement your Coach makes you do? : The least favorite movements would be things like pull ups, muscle ups, handstand push ups: the movements I can’t do.
What is your favorite accomplishment since becoming a part of Cornerstone? Being able to run the Flying Pig marathon.
What is something about yourself that we might not know? I love the oldies, especially the 80’s music that often gets played during our WODs.
What advice would you give to someone just getting started in personal training at Cornerstone? Be in it for the long haul and don’t be afraid to scale. Be consistent, keep coming to class, and keep moving.
What goals do you have for the rest of 2023? Lean out.

As a physician, I believe it is important to maintain your health which can limit the number of doctor visits by preventing common medical problems such as obesity and diabetes. Cornerstone has been instrumental in helping me with the physical stamina and mental alertness required for my job and for my quality of life.
