When did you become a member of the Cornerstone community? September 2017
What do you do when you are not at Cornerstone? (occupation, hobbies, etc.) I am currently a part-time Pharmacist at Walgreens and also a full-time Mother of two active children which leaves little room for hobbies.
What is your favorite workout movement? I don’t think I can pick just one favorite movement. I really like all of the weightlifting movements, especially Front and Back Squats.
What is your least favorite movement your trainer makes you do? Snatch and Overhead Squats are just pure evil. One of my 2019 goals is to improve my overhead shoulder stability and strength in the Snatch grip.
What is your favorite accomplishment since becoming a part of Cornerstone? My favorite accomplishment since starting CrossFit is actually the fact that I keep going back for more. So many exercise programs are boring and lack the support of a community. This is not the case at Cornerstone. I have accomplished so many things I never thought possible and it is truly empowering.
What is something about yourself that we might not know? I enjoy going to the movies just to eat all the popcorn.
What advice would you give to someone just getting started in personal training at Cornerstone? My advice for someone just starting out at Cornerstone is don’t get discouraged. It will be overwhelming and difficult at first but don’t give up, eventually you will be less sore. Listen to your Coach, they all give great advice. Stretching at home and proper hydration/nutrition are key to recovery. With consistency you will achieve your goals and get results.
What goals do you have for the rest of 2019?.
Improve overhead shoulder stability and strength
