September 2022 Athlete of the Month – Zac Schneider

Name: Zac Schneider

Where did you grow up? : Dayton until we moved to Cincinnati in 1988

When did you become a member of the Cornerstone community? : I joined Elite Coalition when it opened in August 2016 and happily stayed on when Cornerstone purchased it in 2021.

What do you do when you are not at Cornerstone? (occupation, hobbies, etc.): I run a lot. I eat a lot of chocolate. I collect a lot of toys Star Warsand Marvel. I also collect Skateboards, movie posters, and POP figures. I basically live like a 10 year old.

What is your favorite workout movement? Running.

What is your least favorite movement your Coach makes you do? : Lunges.

What is your favorite accomplishment since becoming a part of Cornerstone? I loved doing the race street open this year and hope to do more competitions like that.

What is something about yourself that we might not know? In 2008 I weighed over 230 pounds.

What advice would you give to someone just getting started in personal training at Cornerstone? Go for it. Things that seem difficult now will be easier in the future. Stay committed until it becomes a habit.

What goals do you have for the rest of 2022? Keep my running streak going (into year 9) and winning age group awards at races. Also getting into at least one more CrossFit comp. Scaled of course 😆

Complete the statement – I am #allin Cornerstone because….I am constantly learning there. I find people to push me to be better. To leave my comfort zone. I see people succeed and I want to succeed. I do things and workouts I wouldn’t do otherwise and it’s fun. It is just a great friendly place to be.
