Erin Rairden-May Female Athlete of the Month

Name: Erin Rairden
Where did you grow up? Middletown, OH
When did you become a member of the Cornerstone community? I joined
Elite in June of 2019. The Murph was my first CF WOD!
What do you do when you are not at Cornerstone? (occupation, hobbies,
etc.) I love spending time with my husband, Scott and our two children, Collin
and Emerson. I work as a pediatric RN at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital. Before
becoming an RN, I acquired a BS in Health and Sports and became a personal
trainer. I have always enjoyed helping people learn how to make exercise fun. I
now teach indoor cycle and bootcamp classes. Running and cardio is my thing. I
also believe in “work hard, play hard,” and enjoy a good seltzer or beer!
What is your favorite workout movement? Rope Climbs!
What is your least favorite movement your Coach makes you do? I am
terrible at OH squatting!!!
What is your favorite accomplishment since becoming a part of Cornerstone?
I have become so much stronger than I ever imagined I could be! I am
probably most proud of my ability to do pull-ups!
What is something about yourself that we might not know? When I came to
CF, I was a runner and enjoyed competing in 5k races.
What advice would you give to someone just getting started at Cornerstone?
Be patient and have fun!
What goals do you have for the rest of 2021?. I hope to increase the
weight of my Oly lifts and also become proficient in T2B…maybe even get a
few handstand push-ups!
