Name: Cornelius Ramsey

Where did you grow up? I grew up in Lima Ohio

When did you become a member of the Cornerstone community? I joined May 2020

What do you do when you are not at Cornerstone? (occupation, hobbies, etc.)  I’ve been in the Military for 10 year. I like spending time with family and friends. Reading, cooking and traveling.

What is your favorite workout movement? Deadlifts and push press are my favorite movements

What is your least favorite movement your Coach makes you do? By far Burpees is my least favorite movement, I cringe every time I have to do them, however I’m getting better at them.

What is your favorite accomplishment since becoming a part of Cornerstone? Seeing changes in my physical body and in my mentality. I lost 25 pound since September 30th, I admit I use to skip workouts if I thought they were to challenging. Now I look forward to the them.

What is something about yourself that we might not know? While attending Bluffton University which is a Mennonite founded school, I got involved in MMA style amateur cage fighting.

What advice would you give to someone just getting started at Cornerstone? Stick with it don’t doubt yourself. Ask questions the coaches here are great and very helpful and have fun!!!

What goals do you have for the rest of 2020?. To improve my conditioning and continue to progress in  my Olympic lifts and hopefully drop another five pounds or so.

I’m #ALLIN Cornerstone because….
The people and coaches here are great. It’s a positive environment everybody genuinely wants to see each other succeed. You can’t help but get better in that type of environment. I’m firm believer how you do one thing is how you do everything. Progressing and challenging myself in CrossFit has bled into other areas of my life. It has given me the drive and passion to be a better version of myself.
