Meet Coach Laura
How did you find your way to Cornerstone?
After much urging from my parents, I started at Cornerstone in 2015. I was hooked immediately. At the time, I was a stay-at-home mom of 3 kids, and Cornerstone became my daily happy hour. It fills my need for the social aspect of group fitness, and adds the element of personal training. I love that I have coaches who genuinely care about me both inside and outside the gym. I used to have to gear myself up mentally to get workouts in. Now I can’t think of anything I’d rather spend time doing than fitnessing with friends!
In 2017, after I had fallen in love with this place and the people, I took a huge step out of my comfort zone and approached the previous owners about buying the business from them. Now here we are!
Why are you passionate about coaching?
I’m certified as a Women’s Health NP but tell everyone that now I’m in preventive health! I have always felt passionate about health, fitness and nutrition. I love helping people work toward health goals and seeing the way that impacts their whole lives.
Who are your favorite clients to help?
My favorite clients to help are those who come in knowing they need to make a change, but want the help to do so. The globo gym or going it alone isn’t working for them. They really allow us to walk alongside them and teach them new habits. They engage themselves into our community. Then we watch all of the trickle down ways their health, their mindset and their life changes for the better!
I’m #allin Cornerstone because…
This place and the people here have changed my life! I believe in this lifestyle. I believe in the strength of the Cornerstone community. And I believe in the way we are empowering people to be the best versions of themselves!
